Followers are secret characters that can only be found in the Math Level of Advanced Education With Viktor Strobovski.

Appearance

Followers are long, red creatures which travel by slithering across the ground. They have round "heads" at the top with a singular eye. Their bodies have a texture similar to a brain.

Before Alpha 0.27.1, they were 2D dark red blobs with a similar appearance to the Convicted Flesh Soul.

Behaviour

These will only appear in the 666 ending, which activates after collecting all 10 notebooks while entering "666" as the answer for every fifth example. Shortly after this is done and the school begins to turn fleshy, multiple Followers will spawn in the school and follow the protagonist at a steady pace. When nearby, they will drain sanity at a fast speed. The game practically cannot be beaten at this point, and will crash once sanity is completely drained, after which the player will be forced to open the game at exactly midnight to access the Red Forest.

Trivia

• It is one of the two secret characters involved in the 666 ending. The second is the Watcher which can be found in the Red Forest, although the Watcher cannot be seen.
