Marzia is the second teacher of Advanced Education with Viktor Strobovski, exclusively teaching language. No-one knows her surname, but in-game it is represented as a capital V followed by an endless string of @s.

Appearance

Marzia is a female humanoid with a white face, with blood dripping from her mouth. Both of her arms are amputated due to her infection. She wears a dark grey, short-sleeved buttoned shirt, as well as a black skirt and shoes. She also has a high-pitched text-to-speech voice which sometimes stutters when pronouncing words beginning with "t".

Her shirt can be unbuttoned very easily to open for her other "mouth", which is located on her stomach. She can open this mouth and swallow any being in front of her.

She also has an extremely long, sharpen tongue, which she can propel from her mouth at long distances. It is capable of latching onto anything it comes into contact with in order to drag it back to her, however it is extremely sensitive to bitterness and will instantly retract if it comes into contact with anything bitter.

Abilities

• Powerful Strength: During the final chase, or when she is frightened or fleeing from danger, Marzia is able to kick doors off their hinges in a fraction of a second, seemingly with little to no effort. In Brainiac mode, she is able to kick down doors in this way from the very beginning of the level.
• Supernatural Speed: Marzia doesn't have a maximum speed in-game, meaning that if angered enough she could theoretically travel at a speed equivalent to the speed of light. She can also turn corners at this speed without decelerating or creating friction.
• Accelerated Metabolism: She is able to swallow and digest infinite amounts of matter, without gaining weight or being physically affected in any way during the process.
• Extendable Tongue: Marzia can extend her tongue high distances, in order to catch her prey and drag them towards her. However, this tongue is extremely sensitive to bitterness, and will instantly retract if it tastes something too bitter. She also doesn't move while extending her tongue.
• Enhanced Smell: Marzia can smell melon pieces, and presumably other things, from a long distance away.

Personality

When she's not angry, Marzia appears to be somewhat friendly and innocuous, however she sometimes lets her restrained anger show before Angell has even done anything to upset her. It's clear that Marzia is at least partly attempting to come off as friendly, as she describes herself as "loving big and fluffy hugs".

As soon as any of her questions are answered incorrectly, Marzia acts extremely offended at the protagonist and allows her previously restrained rage to surface. She is instantly willing to devote a large amount of her power to catching and killing the protagonist, and if angered enough she will even use her full power.

Although she is one of the most powerful characters in the game, she is easily distracted by loud noises, bright lights, and melon pieces. However, if determined enough, she will ignore everything around her in order to focus on achieving her goal.

She seems to believe that anybody who is unable to answer her questions correctly is "illiterate", despite the fact that she doesn't speak perfect English herself.

Behaviour

When the protagonist enters the first character wrong in one of her notebooks, Marzia will scream "HOW DARE YOU!!!" at the top of her voice. Despite her apparent rage, she will begin walking towards the protagonist at a very slow speed. Her speed will gradually increase depending on how many examples the protagonist has answered incorrectly. It's important to note that she has no maximum speed, meaning that if enough examples are answered incorrectly, she may become completely impossible to avoid.

Marzia's speed is also temporarily boosted if she is within the protagonist's line of sight. As such, it's highly recommended to avoid looking at her as much as possible.

However, due to a lack of arms, it takes a while for Marzia to open doors. Once she arrives at a door, it will take 50 seconds for her to finally manage to kick it open and pass through. (In Brainiac mode, instead of simply opening the door she will break it down entirely.)

If Marzia sees Angell, and Angell isn't holding a salt cube, she will stop in place and extend her tongue towards her. If her tongue catches Angell while she isn't holding any items, she will begin pulling her in at a very fast rate. Angell can resist being pulled by her tongue by pressing the spacebar extremely quickly. If Angell is holding an item when the tongue hits her, Marzia will instead drag the item towards her, and either drop it on the ground or consume it (if it is an edible item). However, if Angell is holding the salt cube, Marzia will immediately retract her tongue as soon as it hits it, as it's "too bitter" for her.

Once the protagonist has collected all 10 language notebooks, Marzia will be waiting behind the door at the back of the 9 room. Once the music picks up, Marzia will break down the door and start chasing the protagonist at a speed slightly slower than the default running speed. During the chase she will become extremely determined, and will not be distracted by any of the methods mentioned above, focusing solely on preventing Angell from escaping via the elevator. Marzia will also become desperate and will break down every door in her path during the chase. She'll continue to chase Angell at the same speed until all 10 numbers have correctly been inputted into the elevator. However, if all 10 math notebooks have also been collected, Viktor will appear outside the elevator and hold Marzia back, preventing her from reaching Angell if she is inside the elevator.

If she reaches the protagonist at any time during her pursuit, she will open her stomach wide and swallow her whole.

Tips

• If Marzia is waiting behind a door, you can tell she is there by leaning up against the door and listening for her sharp breathing.
• If you have a sharp item, such as a rusty knife or cleaver, you can cut Marzia's tongue as she is pulling you in in order to make her retract her tongue instantly.
• If Marzia sees a melon piece nearby, she will stop whatever she's doing, run towards it at a very fast speed, and consume it, leaving a melon peel behind.
• If Marzia is caught in a flash, flash mine or light joint explosion, she will scream in fright and run to the janitor's closet to clean up, breaking down any doors she encounters on the way.
• If she accidentally swallows a pill, due to Angell holding the pill in her hand when Marzia's tongue hits her, she will have the same reaction. She will move faster afterwards (the speed increase is twice as much as that of a flash).
• The same thing will occur if Marzia eats a carrot, but her speed will be unaffected.
• When Marzia's tongue hits a shovel, she will retract it, and hit herself in the face with it, stunning her in place for a while. though, this is not recommended, as it makes her much faster.

Trivia

• Marzia has a face behind her mask. According to MrDrNose, the mask has blood dripping from her mouth because she "has problems with her face" and doesn't wash it properly.
• Like Viktor, Marzia tends to reference memes at times.
  • One of her possible sentences in the English notebooks is "Do u know de wae?" a reference to the Ugandan Knuckles meme.
  • One of her other sentences reads "Floor made out of floor", which is a reference to the "the floor here is made out of floor" meme.
  • Another simply reads "gr". This is a reference to a meme that MrDrNose uploaded on his YouTube channel.
  • There is also a reference to the legendary rickroll which reads "Never gonna give you up".
• The sound that plays while Marzia is eating a melon piece comes from a YouTube video of a chinese man eating a watermelon very quickly.
• Marzia coughing when eating a carrot is a reference to a video where a pufferfish is fed a carrot, where it coughs. Audio from that video is used.
• Pills have the opposite effect on Marzia than they do on the protagonist; instead of Marzia's sanity being restored, her sanity will be drastically decreased if she swallows one. This is why Marzia is so afraid when she unintentionally swallows one.
• Marzia was a normal human being before becoming a mutant.
• Marzia likes to draw, however she doesn't know much about technology so she mainly uses traditional mediums.
